Kenny White Bio

Listen to Kenny White 4pm to 5pm on Fox Sports Radio 920

In a city where character can be as fickle as the flip of a card or the roll of the dice, veteran handicapper-oddsmaker Kenny White has forged an impeccable reputation. From novice ticket writer to sports book director to champion handicapper, Kenny’s relentless work ethic has now thrust him atop Las Vegas Sports Consultants, the company which provides opening lines in most sports for approximately 90% of Nevada sports books.
When Pete White moved to Las Vegas in 1969 to become a professional sports bettor, perhaps even he could not predict such would create the foundation of his son’s career. Kenny began helping his father as early as age 9, and by his mid-teens he could analyze players and crunch power ratings like a seasoned handicapper. Kenny’s exuberance earned him an entry-level ticket writing position in the legendary Santa Anita sports book on the Las Vegas Strip, where his talent for handicapping the NBA in particular soon became apparent. White began actually making NBA numbers for the book, and after a few more seasons of handicapping all sports he was primed to advance further in the industry.
White’s next stop was the Fremont Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas, where as the book’s director Kenny solidified his position as one of the industry’s rising stars. Upon seeing his numbers being primarily responsible for producing some wildly successful seasons for the book, Kenny recognized he had both the talent and opportunity to open his own business. Thus Nevada Sports Executives was born, and for the next 15 years the company supplied some of the larger Las Vegas sports books with lines and information. Meanwhile Kenny was also demonstrating his uncanny handicapping prowess, winning the famed Stardust Invitational in unprecedented back-to-back fashion, and setting a Vegas contest win percentage record of 69% in another highly competitive, locals-oriented tournament.
Having achieved such success on both sides of the counter, it was almost inevitable that White would be in prime position to head a group that would ultimately purchase Las Vegas Sports Consultants. Along with a group of noted local gaming attorneys, White purchased LVSC in November 2003, and his influence was almost immediately evident. LVSC has already dramatically improved its’ technology and infrastructure, and its’ clients now have access to the individual game lines made by all seven of the company’s oddsmakers. Always with at least one eye on the future, White also seeks to offer more exotic wagering propositions for books to offer (i.e. the approximately 150 different lines LVSC is expected to produce on this year’s Super Bowl alone), while simultaneously supplying their clients with even more extensive oddsmaking information and tools. Finally, in an example of his typically unwavering optimism and penchant for integrity, one of White’s ultimate goals for LVSC is to actually work in conjunction with professional leagues and collegiate organizations to help protect the sanctity of games in any and all sports. Recognizing the dynamics of a very rapidly expanding industry, White has LVSC poised to continue as one of the world’s leading oddsmaking entities.
